Greenway Development Group Buys Old Rygg Ford Property for 250-Unit Residential Project in Kalispell

January 17, 2022

KALISPELL, MT – Greenway Development Group and Big Sky Select have purchased the former Rygg Ford Automobile property located at 820 E. Idaho and are planning to transform the old car dealership and auto shop into a 250-unit luxury housing development.

The two development companies are currently in the final stages of another project in Kalispell. The Meridian Apartments at 41 Meridian Court will open its first building to residents this May and will be the first of its kind on the Parkline Trail bringing 180 much needed apartment units to the area.

Slated to be named Parkline Towers, the new development will be GDG’s third multifamily project in the Flathead Valley since 2019 when it opened The Highline Apartments in Columbia Falls and will include a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartment homes. The property is just steps from the Kalispell Parkline Trail and overlooks Woodland Park and the Flathead River, which the developers believe will be a desired benefit to residents. The proposed amenities for the property will consist of garages, onsite storage, a fitness center, and a rooftop area that will include a dog park and community space with an outdoor kitchen.

Like the other developments brought to the area by GDG and BSS, this property will be maintained and managed by Entrust Property Solutions, a multi-family and mixed-use commercial space management company. Entrust Property Solutions manages properties in multiple states and recently opened a satellite office in Kalispell where they already manage almost 500 units here in the Flathead Valley.

GDG managing partner, Brent T. Brown, indicated that they continue to see a need for housing in the market and are working hard to bring the necessary supply to the area. “We are grateful for the ongoing opportunity to bring housing solutions to the area and are excited for the continued growth in the Flathead Valley,” Brown said. “The old Rygg Ford site is already zoned appropriately for this type of use and the city is excited about the project.” Brown expects construction to start this summer and said Parkline Towers will open in 2023.

The Meridian is another Greenway Development Group project currently under construction in Kalispell and anticipated to welcome residents in May 2022. The proposed "Parkline Towers" project will have a similar, more modern, design and layout. Both properties managed by Entrust Property Solutions.
